They both look over the American families needs, and suck up to their fringes. It's just so amazing. How much decline can wide-screen, high definition, 100 channel cable television hide? I really thought when the banks slammed their back doors shut and called for quick pay-offs of unsecured debts the crap would hit the fan. But there was only grumbling. The Tea Parties are for those who are financially able to attend. The real middle class must be hammering down in their efforts to keep what they've got with no opportunity to pay much attention to the bigger picture. Well, they do have that bigger picture on the rent-to-own flat screen. It keeps them occupied, obviously.

They've held Tea Parties at a Church and at City Hall in Tupelo. That's more middle class than say at the BancorpSouth Center or at the Furniture Market! What up?

I recall my efforts to speak to the city council here and finding it difficult to get there even at 6:00p.m. I went in late and dirty directly from work.The tea party crowd seems to be business owners who are free to take the day off and retired people who have sufficient investment incomes to feel free to travel. They weren't checkers and sackers from Wal-Mart.

I wouldn't call 6 pm exactly during a normal work day. Most of the people who spoke were working class people, nurses, factory workers, tellers from banks, and I remember there being quite a few retirees. I don't know where you get your information from jpb, but it doesn't match with reality. What up?

On a PBS program the civil rights leader was attributed with scheduling and locating and orchestrating events for the best coverage and positive slant by the media. Obviously he was successfull. And intelligent people copy success. Can I assume that intelligent people are behind these "parties?" They are obviously no more spontaneous than the march on the bridge in Birmingham.
